一、Server chassisThe material has good heat dissipation

In order to ensure the stable operation of the server, generally, the working environment of the server should be dry and cool. In order to meet this requirement, the selection of materials for the server chassis cannot be neglected. The cases of general PC applications are usually made of steel plates, while the materials used for server cases are generally two types - all-aluminum and aluminum alloy profiles.

However, there are also cases where steel plates are used as materials. Of course, the best one is the magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, but the number of customers using it is not large. If you are in an air-conditioned room with an indoor temperature of around 23℃ in summer, using an all-aluminum chassis will feel as cool as a bottle of chilled cola. If it is magnesium-aluminum alloy, its efficacy may be very good.

2. There are many reserved fan positions in the server case. Since the frequency of the CPU used by the server is generally high, and some are dual or multiple cpus, along with high-speed rotating SCSI hard disks (of course, not just one) and high-power resistors, the heat generated by such components is usually very large, thus causing the gas to warm up rapidly. Whether this hot air can be discharged promptly and reasonably will be a necessary condition for the stable operation of the server.

In a typical PC case, there are usually two to three cooling fan ports, each located inside the back partition and the rear partition of the case respectively. The server case requires a large number of exhaust vents, and each exhaust vent is designed to dissipate heat for different heat sources in the system. Under normal circumstances, there are two exhaust vents on both sides of the case. One of them is outlined around the hard drive enclosure. On the other side of the hard drive enclosure inside the case, there is a reserved large fan position. Customers can install a fan by themselves to cool down the hard drive (Figure 1).

Another exhaust vent is outlined at the top of the system expansion slot direction. In the same direction, the manufacturer reserves a fan position. This exhaust vent is mainly used to dissipate heat for the system expansion card. The electric fan and the rotating partition board of the device are integrated as one, making loading, unloading and transportation very convenient. Customers can install the electric fan without using screws.

Iii. Ventilation System of Server Chassis In order to achieve the effect of heat dissipation, in addition to installing several fans, the heat dissipation system inside the server case is also remarkable. Under normal circumstances, there are two fan positions on the back of the server case (Figure 2), which can be used for us to install two fans.
